I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.
Philippians 1:3
It is so nice to be remembered, to know someone is thinking of me. Getting a card in the mail, an email, or a text from someone lifts my spirits because I know I am at the front of another person’s thoughts.
The senior pastor at my church, the Rev. Thomas Eggold, is really good about sending a text each year on my birthday. I find myself looking forward to his text, wishing me a happy birthday and letting me know that he is praying for me. It is always a great reminder to me to be conscious of those people in my life that I may not see every day, but whom I think about and pray for on a regular basis. St. Paul says, “It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart” (Philippians 1:7a). Remembering those we hold close in our hearts is a wonderful way to share Christ’s love and saving work of the Gospel with others.

Dearest Jesus, help me to share Your love with others by letting them know I am thinking of them. Amen.
