I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice.
2 Timothy 1:5a
I am grateful to a wise teacher who shared something that has stuck with me for 40 years: “Remember, Steve, information flows best on relational bridges.” He was encouraging me to build relationships with fellow learners while teaching.
In writing to Timothy in the above Scripture, Paul addressed him as “my beloved child” (v. 2) and reminded Timothy of his mother and grandmother who had been examples of following Jesus faithfully.
Let’s thank God for those in our lives who connected us to Jesus and encouraged our growth. And let’s ask God to use us to encourage a friend to follow Jesus faithfully.

Thank You, Father, for those who led us to Jesus. Use our lives and lips to connect someone to Jesus. Amen.
Reflect: Write, phone, or visit with a friend today, and encourage them in their relationship with Jesus.
