All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16
Now that I am retired, I find I have ample time for daily devotions. I love hearing God speak through His God-breathed words. The scriptures are indeed living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Staying close to God is essential for a holy walk with Him. Those who are no longer able to read, can access audio recordings of devotions and scripture. I like to follow a daily Bible reading schedule.
Saint Paul writes this reminder to Timothy and gives good reasons for daily contact with God’s words. He says it is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. Do it so that you, the man or woman of God, may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
