Nourished and knit together … with a growth that is from God.
Colossians 2:19b
My husband and I spent many hours sitting side by side assembling jigsaw puzzles. Our marriage of nearly 54 years was a huge puzzle that was sometimes fun and sometimes frustrating to work out.
Now that I’m a widow, I’m starting on a new life puzzle. Though widowhood is not new under the sun, this is the first time I’ve been a widow. God’s Word reminds me that I’m not alone in assembling my new life. He is at my side and has equipped others to help me, to love me, and to teach me. Though I’ve not assembled this puzzle before, God sees the whole picture, each piece in its proper place. He’ll see that it’s well done when the final piece is put in place.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being my Puzzlemaster in every season of my life. Amen.
Reflect: Who has worked on this seasonal puzzle where I am now living? What can I learn from that person?
