… whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
An elderly friend who grew up in Germany told me, “When I was young, my job at our church services was pumping the organ. It was very hard work, and my legs and feet would get very tired. I kept wishing that my singing voice would
improve so that I could join the choir instead.”
In his parables, Jesus, many times used small or simple things such as mustard seeds, mites, and a lost sheep to teach his followers.
God was also using a simple task to teach my friend that the small things we do (listening to others, helping others, encouraging others, or even pumping the organ so music can be produced) are pleasing to God.

Dear Lord, whatever I do (pumping the organ, singing in the choir, encouraging, or listening to others), help me to do it to your glory. Amen.
Reflect: Share a time God used you in an unusual or unexpected way at your church.
