... I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.
1 Timothy 2:1
Almost every day, I take my grandson for a stroller walk around the neighborhood. Neighbors working in their yard, sitting on their porch, or walking by stop, and we catch up on each other’s lives. As we do, God puts it upon my heart to pray for them. Some may be recovering from surgery, expecting a visit from loved ones, or planning to travel. When I get home, I add them to my prayer list. The next time we walk, I say a prayer as we pass by their house. Each day we encounter people at the grocery, family, friends, caregivers, and those we care for. We can turn our interactions into prayers. I aspire to be like one of my friends who doesn’t just say, “I’ll pray for you,” he stops and prays right then.

Dear Father, thank you for giving us community. Walk with me and guide my thoughts and prayers. Amen.
Reflect: Take a prayer walk through your community. Send a card to let someone know you are praying for them.
