May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace …
Romans 15:13
There it is, straight off the page of my favorite Bible. A momentary, hourly, and daily message from God as I maneuver through this gift called old age — through the challenge of daily living — as I plan for the end of old age.
The God of hope, Jesus, meets me at the empty tomb and fills me with hope, joy, and peace. Peace is found in knowing that the heavenly peace beyond my comprehension awaits me.
Now as I continue on with my day, I can do so knowing that God holds my hand, fills me with His promises, and leads me along the ups and downs of this journey and into His future. There is no substitute for God’s peace.

Dear Jesus, may Your gift of peace intertwine with all I do this day. Amen.
