He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
Psalm 40:3a
After 28 years of marriage, my husband and I made a new start! We moved from central USA back to our newlywed state of Arizona for a newly-retired lifestyle. It was just the two of us … no kids, pets, or furniture in tow. We downsized 75% to a 55 plus active, gated community with our own golf course. We stood on the precipice of EVERYTHING being new. And what a precipice it was!
To some of you, this may sound daunting and downright scary. It was all that at times, but there was also an excitement with new church commitments, new friends, and new daily activities. We’ve had our struggles for sure. But we sing a new song (and some old ones, too) at a new address, and it’s still a song of praise to our unchanging, good, and perfect God.

Dear Jesus, may You be glorified in the new adventures we try. Amen.
Reflect: Recall past moves you’ve made and thank God for the new things He’s doing in you.
