Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
Isaiah 43:19
School bells are ringing again as students return to the classroom. Those days seem far away for many of us, but we have memories that will never leave us. New shoes, binders, and notebooks were part of preparing for a new school year.
How are you preparing for a new season in your life? You could join a book club or take a craft class. Or maybe you could plan an additional 15 minutes each day to pray for those in your community, family, or church. In Mark 1:35, Jesus models a life of prayer that we could follow as He goes off into a solitary place to pray.
We may not be going back to school like we did as kids, but we can learn and grow in our prayer life. God can do a new thing in your life!

Dear Lord, help me to remember the needs of others each day. Amen.
Reflect: Establish a daily prayer time and put students returning to school on the top of your prayer list today.
