Never, Ever All Alone

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

Isaiah 43:1b

Do you ever get the feeling that you are all alone? Maybe it seems like no one really cares what is happening in your life. Perhaps you live alone, and it is difficult to leave the house. It has been a long time since anyone has visited you or even called you on the phone. But remember, God has promised you that He will never leave you. When you were baptized, you became God’s child, and He takes care of you as a father cares for his child. God promises in Matthew 28:20b, “I am with you always, to the end of the age.” “Always” leaves no room for doubt. God will never, ever leave you all alone.

Dear Father in heaven, thank You for making me Your child. It comforts me that You promise to take care of me during lonely times. Amen.

Reflect: When you read Isaiah 43:1-7, notice the ways that God reassured the Israelites.

Read: Isaiah 43:1-7 and Psalm 121
