Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Amanda looked out the window of her kitchen as she sipped her coffee and read her daily devotion. She recalled sharing this time with her husband, sharing their home, daily chores, struggles, but sharing laughter and happiness, too. Now, it was just her. The house often felt big and uncomfortably empty. One moment a tear and the next a smile of joy. Somehow Jesus always sensed her loneliness and seemed to draw nearer, wrapping Amanda in a warm embrace. It was in these moments Jesus lovingly reminded Amanda she was never alone. Jesus gave her wonderful neighbors, a supportive community made up of family and friends, and a loving, caring, attentive church that helped her stay connected. Remembering her blessings gave Amanda strength to fulfill her new mission of making sure people felt connected to Jesus and others.

Dear Jesus, thank You for comforting and reassuring me that I am never alone. You are always near. Amen.
Reflect: Reach out to someone today who may be alone or feeling lonely in their home.
