... the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.

Genesis 2:7

God himself formed humankind, intentionally. God breathed life into Adam’s nostrils. Man became a living being with the Lord’s breath, in the image of God.

Never think that you don’t matter. Never believe that you are “over the hill.” Never let anyone tell you that your time is past. The people of God need your wisdom. They need your faith. They need your sustaining prayer. They need your smile. They need your experience. They need you as a model for living the Christian life in body, soul, and mind. In all of this, you worship the Lord.

As long as we have the breath of life, we will praise our God!
