So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12
I am a retired teacher. Teaching was more than a career — it was a lifelong journey of service, structure, and soul-shaping moments. My lesson plan book became a reflection of my life: semesters broken into weeks, weeks into days, and each day with its own set of goals and objectives.
Why such careful attention to detail? In teaching, every day mattered. Every interaction held eternal potential. It wasn’t just about managing time; it was about stewarding the time God had given.
Psalm 90:12 reminds us “to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” Numbering our days means living each day with purpose, not passivity. God invites us to make our days count — for Him, for others, and for the sake of the kingdom.

Lord, teach me to value time, not just as hours to be filled, but as opportunities to serve, grow, and love well. Amen.
Reflect: Live each day with purpose, seeking to honor God by making every moment meaningful.
