I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
Psalm 16:2
Opportunities abound that bring me much joy in retirement! I know it’s because I have a hard time saying “no,” and yet, many requests interest me. So, how can I say no?
I’m blessed with a “can do” personality and relatively good health. Thankfully, through the many ups and downs in these seven decades of life, my Good Father has walked lovingly and steadfastly beside me. Indeed, there were also many admonishing times that His Spirit strengthened my faith and brought me closer to Him.
I often reflect with family and friends, “I just don’t know how people do it who don’t know God’s love and forgiveness.” What I do know for sure is that without God in my life, I could not do what I do. I must live the goodness of God!

Holy Spirit, strengthen my faith and teach me Your ways as I live the goodness of God. Amen.
Reflect: How do you live the goodness of God?
