Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you …
Isaiah 46:4
I read recently that if you were born between 1930 and 1946, only 1% of your generation is still alive today. I am one of those so blessed. God has been incredibly good to me, in both number and quality of years, health, and fulfilling life experiences.
He has given me opportunities for service throughout my life. While young, I taught Sunday School, attended youth group (Walther League), and made evangelism calls. Later, as a pastor’s wife and mother, I found numerous ways to serve. These included Altar Guild, Sunshine Circle, volunteering in the church office, taking sermon tapes to shut-ins, church rummage sales, etc. Now at 92, I find such joy in calling, visiting, and sending notes of encouragement. I can still speak of Jesus and pray for others. To God be the glory!

Father, thank You for the joy in my heart and in my life. Amen.
Reflect: Who needs that call or visit from you today?
