“… Be strong and courageous … and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
We are finally done with winter in Wisconsin (I hope). The birds are singing and the flowers are blooming. As I breathe the fresh spring air, I feel young again — for a few moments. But then I look in the mirror and am reminded that I am in the autumn of my life. And winter is just around the corner.
However, the later seasons of our life should not be a time for despair, because Jesus is always there — within us to uplift our spirits, beside us to guide our way, and ahead of us to lead us toward the eternal springtime which He has prepared for us and all believers.
In the meantime, may we, by God’s grace and guidance, take advantage of every opportunity we have, to share the light, love, and saving grace of our Savior.

Lord Jesus, refresh my spirit each day with Your Spirit, so I may serve You faithfully through all the seasons of my life. Amen.
Reflect: Share the kindness and warmth of Jesus with those who are dismayed by the winter of their life.
