When I was a child, I spoke like a child ... When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
1 Corinthians 13:11
What did I want to be when I grew up? Through my various life’s seasons, I drifted from being a mom (and to share my kids with my mom because I felt she needed more than my sister and I), a librarian (so I could read all the books), or a teacher (that idea didn’t stick long).
Each season of life held surprises, joys, and trials. I knew that Jesus would be with me throughout life. He helped me through each difficulty and rejoiced when I did.
Suddenly, or so it seemed in some respects, old age was upon me! I retired, and life is filled with new enjoyments. I know our Triune God will reign in my life as aging slows physical abilities. I just didn’t expect that aging aspect to come so quickly.

Dear Jesus, thank You for being an integral part of my daily life. Amen.
Reflect: Contemplate your life’s seasons and the many times you realized our Triune God was with you.
