Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Romans 12:13
My neighbors were gifts to me. All newcomers to the area, we shared information about restaurants and shopping. Morning walks and conversations enriched us. When my husband suddenly died, my friends went into action. Supper invitations several times a week, a scenic drive to the mountains, and checking to see if I needed anything from the store were examples of their generosity. God gives each of us spiritual gifts. Theirs were hospitality and meeting some of my practical needs. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:9-10). Spiritual gifts and practical ministry look different for each of us, but how can you serve someone to brighten their day and lighten their load?

Dear Father, thank You for the people who have been generous to me. Show me how I can reach out to others using the gifts You have given me. Amen.
Reflect: How can my spiritual gifts nourish and enrich others?
