Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
The young, single mother looked at me from the other side of the glass. There was fear in her eyes as she said, “I don’t think I’m allowed to pray anymore.” She continued, explaining how she started running with a group of teens who worshipped Satan. She felt that disqualified her from having any contact with God.
The Spirit gave me the words, “God still loves you. He’s been waiting for you to come back. Of course, you can pray to Him.” Tears started running down her face. The Spirit had worked. The next week she asked for a Bible. Two weeks later she told me she had prayed for the first time in years.
It’s easy for us to convince ourselves we have done something too big for God to forgive, but that’s not how He works. He loves you … unconditionally.

Father, remind me of Your love when I believe I’m unlovable. Amen.
Reflect: Rest in God’s unconditional love. Help a loved one understand this hope-full truth.
