The body is one and has many members, and all … are one body, so it is with Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12
My day is done, and the television goes on. I watch an episode, streaming from that unknown cyberspace called “internet.” It stalls and says, “Internet connection has been lost.” Frustration sets in. But my daylight hours are not dependent on cyberspace. Events fill my weeks — On Sundays: Bible class and church service; 3rd Mondays: Breakfast out; Tuesday and Thursday afternoons: Card games; 4th Tuesdays: Writer’s Group and Prayer Shawl; 2nd and 4th Tuesdays: Bingo. Each of these adventures mingles an assortment of individuals, sharing moments of their lives. We support and strengthen each other. If laughter is the measure of being connected, our cup of connection overflows. Our Triune God is that cup; He is the hub and the central connection point. The television’s “internet lost” frustration is a momentary inconvenience compared to the joy of a super glue connection to God — the eternal hub.
