I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil.
Jeremiah 29:11
LeAnn and her husband had to move to a senior facility so that she could have round-the-clock care. LeAnn said her heart was broken when they had to give away so many of their beautiful furnishings. They had lived in their home for more than 60 years. As hard as the move was for LeAnn, she’s beginning to smile again. Last week, she said she was making new friends and enjoying her new home! “Who’d have thought I would ever say that?”
God knows the plans He has for our life. God’s not in heaven tweaking our life when something sad or bad happens. For every twist and turn, unwelcomed and unplanned event, God knows the ways He will refresh and renew us.

Dear God, thank You for the plans You have for me. Thank You for surprising me. Because You care for me continually, I am refreshed and renewed. Amen.
Reflect: Make a list of the ways God has refreshed you after trials, disappointments, loss, and sad times.
