For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:17
During our Christmas worship, we love to hear these familiar words about our Savior’s birth: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). Jesus, the Son of God, was born in Bethlehem, bringing to the world His grace and truth. He proclaimed the truth of the kingdom of God. By God’s grace through faith in Jesus, we have been brought into that kingdom.
Baptized into Christ, we are His body, His caring and compassionate eyes, hands, and heart in the world. Jesus’ love shines through our lives as we act graciously toward others and help them in their need. We bear witness to the truth of the Gospel, the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus. As grace and truth came to us through our Savior, we now share His grace and truth with the world.

Lord Jesus, lead me to act with grace toward others and speak the truth about You. Amen.
Reflect: Share the truth of God’s amazing grace with someone today.
