Make me … know your ways, O Lord; … Lead me in your truth and teach me, you are the God of my salvation.
Psalm 25:4-5
I keep this verse on an index card behind my toothbrush, so I see it several times a day. Praying Scripture back to God is a promise God will answer.
One unexpected way God answered this prayer for guidance and truth was at my dear mom’s visitation. I didn’t expect it to feel like a foretaste of heaven, but the outpouring of grace and love by those wonderful people who loved my mom was life changing.
Now, every week at The Lord’s Supper, I feel the curtain torn and a glimpse of heaven as Jesus gives us Himself to forgive, strengthen, to give us hope of love and joy now and forever, and the promise of being reunited with loved ones who have gone on before.

Dearest Savior, thank You for giving us Yourself in the Bible, Communion, and in the love of Your church. Help us to daily grow to give You glory. Amen.
Reflect: Pick a promise from scripture and post it somewhere you will see it often. Perhaps memorize it!
