Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring ... “If the Lord wills, we will live ...”
James 4:14-15
While contacting classmates about our upcoming 60th High School Reunion, I received many different responses. Some said, “Mark me down.” Others replied, “I wouldn’t miss it!” But one response, “I’ll be there — God willing!” led me to the Bible.
Jeremiah 29:11 states “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Both this passage and James 4:14-15 tell us that our future is in God’s hands. Whether my classmates and I attend our class reunion here on earth or will be attending a much greater reunion with believers in heaven, we know that our God is loving, compassionate, forgiving, and His will for us is good!

Lord, help me to daily pray like Jesus “Not my will, but yours, be done.” Amen.
Reflect: Recall a time when your reunion gave you an opportunity to share your faith.
