“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
Matthew 1:23
Even though today is Christmas Day, for many, Christmas is over. The presents have all been opened. The Parties are over. The shopping, decorating, and cooking have all been done. Tomorrow the stores will start taking down their decorations and change the stock on the shelves. Yet, for us as Christians, Christmas is far from over. For us, Christmas is something that can never be over. It is as real in July as it is in December. Why? It is because God, in Jesus Christ, has come into our midst and has lived with and for us. So, Christmas is not over. It has only begun. The meaning of it will last through all generations. Let’s all celebrate Christmas not only now, but each day of the year.
