One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
Psalm 145:4
A new church year begins in Advent. In fulfillment of Old Testament prophesy, Jesus came in the flesh to save us. He still comes to our hearts through the wonderful Advent readings, hymns of praise, and the Lord’s Supper. And he will come at the last day as RISEN LORD AND KING to welcome all believers into his presence. In the richness of the liturgy handed down to us, one generation commends God’s works to another.
Have you not received Jesus from your parents, grandparents, or other believers in the past? Do you not find love, hope, joy, and peace in this season of Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany? How might you welcome the next generation into the presence of King Jesus this year for time and eternity?
