I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another.
1 Corinthians 7:7
We all like to receive gifts. Our Bible passage mentions each has his own gift. Paul wishes all the gift of belief in Jesus. The Matthew 28 commission “go, share” tells us Jesus is for all. The life, death, and Easter Resurrection of Jesus should permeate our lives.
How can we practice relating this “expectation” to the full? How do we carry out that commission?
Dr. Luther writes in the 2nd petition of the Lord’s prayer, “God’s kingdom comes when our Heavenly Father gives us His Holy Spirit, so that by His grace we believe His Holy Word and lead godly lives here in time and there in eternity.” Through the Holy Spirit, we may lead godly lives with “Expectation to the full” in season and out.

Dear Father, fill us with the Holy Spirit to share in every season to the full. In Jesus name. Amen.
Reflect: Does an example come to mind of a blessed gift because of your sharing effort?
