For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
Psalm 103:14
We certainly know dust. It’s a never-ending chore to clean it up. This verse includes a litany of reasons we should bless the Lord. He forgives! He heals! He redeems! He crowns us with righteousness! He satisfies us! Then the psalmist declares: “He remembers that we are dust.”
Yes, dust! God remembers that He created us from dust, that we are sinners, and that He sent His Son to redeem us. He knows that we will return to dust. He remembers that His Son died for us, and Jesus has ascended to prepare a place for us.
Perhaps our Creator keeps sending dust into our homes to remind us of this certain truth of Scripture. When we remember that we are dust, we also recall that He will transform our dust to bodies that will live with Him forever.

Lord, all that is within me thanks You for forgiving me. Amen.
Reflect: Dust something while mentally listing some of God’s benefits in your life.
