... for the sake of the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth ...

Titus 1:1

Many things in life require ongoing renewal of our mind and spirit: friendships, family issues, finances, and even our faith. When a loved one was in the hospital fighting for her life, I could barely get housework done between hours of worrying and praying; a lost friendship due to thoughtless words has yet to be reconciled; finances in retirement are challenging. Only faith and God’s Word gives me the strength needed amidst earthly trials.

We short ourselves when we let earthly challenges rob us of living a joyful life in Christ, forgetting that the Lord keeps his promises. But God who is gracious and merciful, continually renews our spirit with hope, restores to us the joy of everlasting life, and upholds us with a willing spirit to love and serve.

Denise Seaman
Clive, IA

Lord, help me to always look to you for strength. Amen.

Reflect: Read and believe how the Lord promises to strengthen and be with us always.

Read: Isaiah 41:13 and Romans 8:31-39
