Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Hebrews 13:16
My sister, jokingly, accuses me of sending greeting cards to strangers and baking cookies for someone almost every day. Neither is true, of course, but I do admit to being a card sender and a cookie baker. I like to send Christian cards for all occasions — birthdays, illness, sympathy, or just “thinking of you.” I hope it conveys caring, comfort, and shares God’s love with the recipient. I like to take cookies to someone who needs a little cheer or as a small thanks for a favor done. Cards are expensive, but some of my friends give me the sample cards mailed to them. For 73 cents, I can let someone know I care. And the cookies always seem to be well received — even by my sister.

Dear Father, help us share your love and care every day. Amen.
Reflect: Send a card, call, or visit a shut-in sometime soon.
