Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Matthew 5:11

Life is never going to be smooth sailing with everyone getting along. Ever since sin entered the world, what was once a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place, changed forever. The question is raised, “What are we going to do about it?”

We have a sure solution that requires total faith in the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We may receive insults for our faith, but we know we have Christ by our side who endured more evil than we ever will. Because we know we will be with him forever, we can rest peacefully in his loving, forgiving arms knowing that he has won the battle over sin, death, and the Devil for us.

Don Hollmann
Ballwin, MO

Father God, I know you are always with me, and give me eternal comfort. Amen.

Reflect: When you feel persecuted, remember what Christ endured for you.

Read: Isaiah 40:31 and 2 Peter 3:8
