We love, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19
Have you ever noticed that when you take the time or make the effort to go and care for someone, that person ends up blessing you even more than you blessed them?
As a pastor, if I ever get down in the dumps, it’s usually because I am spending too much time by myself. So, I make it a point to get out of my office to go and see someone, to pray for them, or care for their needs. Most of the time it usually lifts my spirits more than the person I have helped. There are ample opportunities in life to be blessed by blessing others. Could that be one of the reasons Jesus commanded us to love others like He loved us? Maybe He’s on to something.
God recreated us in Christ Jesus to do good works, and in so doing, He has blessed us!

Lord Jesus, make me a blessing to others, and in the process, be blessed. Amen.
