I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning ...
Isaiah 46:9b-10a
At the beginning of a movie, sporting event, or life experience, we can’t help but wonder, “How will this end?” Although we don’t know the end, God already knows everything, from this moment to the next Super Bowl score, to the last day. Even at the beginning of the world, God declared the end by promising Adam and Eve a Savior (Genesis 3:15).
As we face the uncertainties of aging, having an all-knowing God is a great comfort. Everything unknown to us is already known by God. Most important, “The Lord knows those who are his” (2 Timothy 2:19). Instead of fretting over unknowns, let’s delight with Paul in “the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).

Thank you, Lord, for knowing me as your child and knowing what’s ahead every day. Amen.
Reflect: Know that God is with you from every beginning to every end.
