Train up a child in the way in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs: 22:6
God has given me a new life on which to focus my love and attention. What a thrill to hold my first great-grandchild. Yet I cannot help but think about the world she has so recently entered! I think of mass murders, abortion, gender conflicts, and illegal substances. Sunny June has Christian parents who will try to keep her safe. But neither they nor anyone else can assure her that none of that will ever affect her.
However, there is one thing we can do. We can place all our little ones into God’s hands. We can tell them, with certainty, that God has never and will never desert us. He is still present in our world and always will be, as long as life on this earth exists — and even into eternity. Praise the Lord!

Lord, please guard and protect our little ones — and us older folks, too. Amen.
Reflect: If there are children in your neighborhood, be sure they know Jesus.
