Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.
Proverbs 17:6
I had the privilege and blessing to spend a lot of time around my Christian grandparents on both sides of my family. My grandparents were full of wisdom, but none of them were people of many words. They let their actions do the talking. The best way they did that was by being diligent in worship and making it a priority. If I stayed over at their house on a Saturday, we would go to church on Sunday morning. No doubt about it. If there was work to do on the farm on Sunday, it would wait until after church. Thankfully, there was always an early service, so this was possible. The best way you can grandparent your grandkids is by being an example to them. They maybe won’t listen much to what you say, but they will most certainly remember what you do and how you do it. Worship with diligence and joy!

Lord God, make me a faithful example to the next generation. Amen.
Reflect: Invite your grandchildren or another young person to go to worship with you this Sunday.
