That there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
1 Corinthians 12:25
When we read about the Body of Christ, we may think about our own aching joints and health conditions. Do you think, maybe God is talking about an ideal body, not a real one?
The Body of Christ, of which all believers are members, is perfect in God’s eyes because He sees the body of the perfect Jesus Christ. Yet, until we meet God face-to-face, we are affected by sinfulness, just like our bodies which ache and become weak.
We need to do what our body does when it compensates for illness and injury. When my neighbor hurts, I will sit with her and listen. When I feel down, I reach out to a friend who prays with me. God is the great Healer who gives us the best medicine of all through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.

Divine Healer, work through me as I reach out to the Body of Christ to encourage and to be encouraged. Amen.
Reflect: Watch for opportunities to share encouragement and prayer this week.
