“His master said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Matthew 25:21
Our world has lost some great saints recently including my Uncle Russell. Some saints are in the public eye and receive great accolades. Uncle Russell was a quiet saint who sat in his recliner and shared his wisdom and memories with those who cared to listen. His obituary was so long that it could not list all the organizations and projects in which he was involved over his 93 years. Uncle Russell told of his growing up years, marriage, and the details of every event that happened in our hometown. Our family and community lost its “corporate memory” when Uncle Russell entered the gates of heaven.
Like the saints before him, Uncle Russell was at peace with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Let us walk as the Lord’s baptized and forgiven saints daily!

Heavenly Father, thank You for making us all saints through our baptism. Help us to be Your faithful servants. Amen.
Reflect: Take time to listen to stories from one of our senior saints at church or in your community.
