Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.
Psalm 71:9
David had several talents God chose to use. After retiring, King David wasn’t ready to go home and sit down. He still had energy to serve God.
What about you? You may have retired from your 9-to-5 job, got that coveted gold watch, had a big retirement party, but you’re not quite ready to go home and sit in that rocking chair. No worries. God has a place for you. What do you want to do now? Try your hand at mentoring others? Excited to design an encouragement ministry for your church? Do you see the need to provide a ministry of listening to others in a world where people need someone to hear them? Your maturity in Christ leads you to unique ways to serve the church in however Jesus decides to use you.
