… a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:30
There she sits. She is no longer active. Her days to serve at church are past. “When I sit here, I feel like I can accomplish anything,” she says, but trying to rise, she finds it is not so. Her formerly busy hands are still; her previously clear eyes are dim. What does she do?
She listens. She prays. Heavy hearts find her heart is open. Oppressed spirits feel her spirit is strong. A hard worker, she has a new vocation. She works at being there for those around her, grateful to those who serve her, encouraging to those who are down. She brings them to her heavenly Father who hears her words and blesses her efforts. She uses this season of life for him the best she can — as she always has.

Lord, reveal how I can serve you still. Amen.
Reflect: See who is in your realm of influence and consider the gifts you can give.
