Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
Psalm 119:89
Oh, the power of the divine Word! From the opening words of Scripture, God speaks, and things happen! Speaking over the chaos, He created all things. From the prophets to the revelation to John, He assures us, “I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5).
This same God speaks to you through His Spirit. As Martin Luther says, in our baptismal living, by water and the Word, “a new man should daily emerge and arise to live” (“Luther’s Small Catechism”).
And, even in our human frailty and imperfection, God speaks through you. The Spirit of Christ moves us to speak to one another above the chaos of modern life — healing relationships, restoring hope, and bringing a clear-eyed confidence in what is to come.
God is not silent. He is speaking still … to you.
