FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Listen and sing with the uplifting hymns from Getty Music during a special concert at 7 PM October 28 at Concordia Lutheran High School, 1601 St. Joe River Drive, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Hymn-writers, Keith and Kristyn Getty, and special guests, Matt Boswell and Matt Papa, are bringing their Fall Tour to Fort Wayne for one unique night.
“Our shows are very high energy,” said Deborah Klemme, a violinist with Getty Music. “There’s just the beautiful element of the art of it all. The way Kristen puts words together and talks about things is really inspiring. I feel like there’s something for everyone.”
The concert will be a time to join voices together in powerful hymns — new and old — and conclude with the memorable singing of “In Christ Alone.”
“It speaks to people at all stages of life,” Klemme said. “In my opinion, for a hymnody — in general whether it be old or new — the focus is more on God and who He is and what He has done for us and then how we respond. So, I think that is really refreshing take on God. It’s really meaningful.”
The concert is locally hosted by Concordia Lutheran High School, Foundations of Truth, Holy Cross Lutheran Church & School, and Worship Anew. All proceeds will be used to support the identification and the nurture of current and future leaders of congregational singing.
Tickets are now on sale at gettymusic.com/tour. Tickets range from $20-$45 with floor and bleacher seating available.
