Down the street from a church in sunny Florida is a care facility. The staff there work hard to care for the needs of the residents, and the area pastor works hard to care for their spiritual needs.
But technology was changing, and he needed help. At one time, he was showing "Worship Anew" to the residents through a DVD, but DVDs are getting harder to produce. He needed another option.
Through a visit, the Worship Anew team was able to set up the care facility to watch "Worship Anew" weekly, as well as other great content shown through Worship Anew's YouTube channel.
This is one of the great ways to serve your local community with the help of Worship Anew resources. If you have a care facility in your community, here are a few ways you can connect them to spiritual resources:
- Talk to them about showing "Worship Anew" on the care facility's TV network. Many care facilities have their own networks for announcements, programming, and chapel services. Our weekly worship program is available as a free download for the facility to air. We frequently hear that the program is a comfort to residents as they lie in their beds.
- Share the Hope-Full Living daily devotional. Our devotional is printed quarterly and provides easy-to read devotions for seniors. It's a great resource to leave with residents during a visit.
- Share the Broadcaster magazine. The magazine is also a great item for visits with those in care facilities. It features practical articles for seniors that speak to the spiritual, mental, and physical well being of older adults.
We are here to support churches in your ministry to aging adults. If you have any questions about any of our resources, or how to connect your local care facility with these resources, please contact us at info@worshipanew.org or (260) 471-5683.
