Lutheran Ministries Media Welcomes New Host to Worship Anew

Lutheran Ministries Media (LMM) has announced that Don Luepke, long-time host of their weekly program, will retire at the end of 2017 and that Eric Kaschinske will take over on Sunday, January 7 as host of Worship Anew.

Don will give a heartfelt closing message on December 31 in which he shares that, “it was a blessing to be part of our worship together for the past 25 years.” LMM invites you to view a commemorative video of Don Luepke’s 25 years of service which can be found at their website: www.WorshipAnew.org.

Matthew Leighty, executive director, said that Don’s longevity and faithful service will always be appreciated. “Words cannot express our gratitude for Don’s 25 years as host of Worship for Shut-Ins (1992-2017). We hope that he and his wife Ellen will always know the love and warmth this community has for them. Their strong relationship as friends, colleagues, and brothers in Christ has helped guide Don and Eric through the transition.”

Eric graduated from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, in 1996 with a Secondary Education degree, majoring in mathematics and minoring in theology.  He completed his Masters of Education at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2002.  He currently serves as a mathematics teacher and the department chair at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne.  He has coached various athletic teams during his time at Concordia. Eric and his wife Amy have three children:  Mason, Rhaya, and Landon.

Eric is mindful of this important role, "Lutheran Ministries Media has been sharing the love of Jesus for the last fifty years.  I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as weekly host for the beginning of the next half-century, welcoming viewers to worship their Lord and Savior.  I look forward to working in this new role with the dedicated saints on staff to bring this saving message to even more of God's people."

Produced by Lutheran Ministries Media and centered on the mission of “sharing Christ’s love through ministry and media,” Worship Anew (the new name for Worship for Shut-Ins) is a weekly televised 30-minute program that is broadcast in the United States and around the world. Its traditional format includes scripture readings, a pastor’s message, prayers, and favorite church hymns. Stations, times, and sermon topics can be found online at WorshipAnew.org.
