Lutheran Ministries Media Hosts Annual Appreciation Banquet

Lutheran Ministries Media (LMM) hosted their premier yearly event, the Appreciation Banquet, on October 15. It's their opportunity to thank the many people who support the work of the ministry through their time, talents, and resources.

Highlights from this year's event included the 2017 Rev. Oswald Bertram awards presentation, recognizing Donald Luepke for 25 Years of service, and powerful thoughts from the keynote speaker, Dr. Rich Bimler. In his message to those attending he shared, “Aging is a gift to celebrate rather than a burden to bear! Each day is a blessing from the Lord who enables us to serve and celebrate this gift with people younger and older who He puts around us, in our family, church, and community. 10,000 people turn 65 years of age every day in the U.S. The Lord must really loves older people because He sure is making more of us!”

According to Matthew Leighty, executive director of LMM, the ministry exists because of so many giving people, “We are so grateful to the many volunteers and faithful supporters who further the work of this ministry. It is through your generous support now, and in the future, that enables us to share God’s Word.” More details about the banquet and a commemorative video of Don Luepke’s 25 years of service can be found at their website: www.WorshipAnew.org.

Produced by Lutheran Ministries Media and centered on the mission of “sharing Christ’s love through ministry and media,” Worship Anew (the new name for Worship for Shut-Ins) is a weekly televised 30-minute program that is broadcast in the United States and around the world. Its traditional format includes scripture readings, a pastor’s message, prayers, and favorite church hymns. Stations, times, and sermon topics can be found online at WorshipAnew.org.
