Walking Together

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."  John 14:26 ESV

In the early days following my father's succumbing to cancer and entry into his eternal home, my thoughts turned to my mother and the void his absence would leave in her life. They had a strong partnership throughout their many years of marriage. She came alongside my dad in his ministry and eventually in his illness. As a professional care giver herself, she was there every step of the way providing for his daily needs. She sacrificed time with friends or other outside endeavors because caring for him was an all-consuming part of each and every day. When my dad was finally relieved of his earthly suffering, I worried about how the pieces of my mothers life would come back together.

It is at these times when the video ministry of Worship Anew is so vital for those who feel alone. It is here in our loneliness where we lean on God's Word and His assurances to love and never forsake us. These are the messages that are shared on Worship Anew and the devotional videos Moments of Comfort, which will focus this month on the theme of loneliness.

Thanks be to God that He gave us His Holy Spirit, the Helper, to be with us along this journey. In the coming weeks as we celebrate the Holy Trinity and Pentecost, we are reminded of the precious gift God has given to us through our relationships. He did not intend for us to be alone. From the time of creation, God knew that we are to be social people. Even in the form of the Trinity, there is not just 1, but 3 in 1. There is a relationship between the Father and the Son, between the Holy Spirit and the Son, and between the Father and the Holy Spirit. At the center of this is God. And we read in 1 John 4:7-21, God is love.

This is why it's so important we share the message of God's love through the vital work of Worship Anew. As you have been blessed to hear God's Word and to have the Holy Spirit work in your heart, we're eager for you to be strengthened in those dark and difficult moments of life and to share the same with others.

My joy overflows in having seen my mom strengthened in the years since my dad's entrance to glory. Through her work, family, and the relationships she's established in her church, she continues to live out her life's calling to love and care for others just as she did for my father. Won't you please consider making a gift today to support the work of this ministry? We're grateful for those who have been a part of making 2019 a year in which Worship Anew will reach more people than ever before with God's Word.

Sharing Christ's Love!
